"May God's grace give you the necessary humility. Try not to think - much less, speak - of their sins. One's own are a much more profitable theme! And if on consideration, one can find no faults on one's own side, then cry for mercy: for this must be a most dangerous delusion." - C.S. Lewis

for some reason that quote made me laugh. I think sometimes religious people feel pressure to admit their sins, but seem so spot free that they are like a job interview - they throw silly things as their downfall - "I'm prideful" is almost like saying "I work too much." I get it, no one wants to acknowledge their flaws, so we throw out fake/superficial ones.
Ha! Yeah, like "I'm a perfectionist." Really, that's your "flaw"? God tells us to confess our sins to each other (and not in the Catholic sense), but we so rarely do that. It takes spiritual intimacy, which few churches encourage.
