The Goracle just compared himself to Winston Churchill while saying that the fight against global warming (hey Al, the science is in, global warming ended a decade ago) is equally as dangerous to this generation as the Nazis were to Churchill's generation.

Lord, forgive me...but this Gore guy is a moron.

You call him a moron, yet the only reason you are able to have this blog is because he invented the internet. ;)

Chris has a point.

You know, I wonder how much is Gore genuinely moronic. Is he a true believer, or is he just using this as a way to make money (via his carbon credit company) and to wield political power? I think there is some self-deception going on and he's somewhere between idiot and insidious mastermind...

Darius, I think you hit the nail on the head. Here is how this kind of self-deception works:

"But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived." (2 Peter 3:13)

Evil people are empowered to deceive by the deception they themselves are deceived by.

At some level, you have to wonder whether he really believes his propaganda. But then he must believe it, because his livelihood depends on it.

You guys are right, he is very smart.

But I still say he is a moron.

Jimmy Carter is another example of a very smart moron.
