I guess Obama's radically pro-abortion views have clarified things in the hearts and minds of Americans.

Interesting poll. I would have thought we were about 50/50, maybe giving a slight edge to pro-life. I don't know how to account for that pro-life spike. It baffles me. I don't know whether Obama has much to do with it. I can't see very many people changing their opinion based on his radical views. If people really understood that abortion is based on negative eugenics, I think more people would be against it. It is only a choice in the sense that people "choose" to kill themselves off and are fooled into thinking that is somehow a right. In reality, they are being conditioned to put into practice what elites have been planning for them for years.

It seems like it has to be tied to Obama; I can't think of anything else that would have caused such a spike. My thought regarding Obama's influence is along these lines: people were fine and comfortable being pro-choice until Obama redefined "pro-choice" to encompass his policies, which are clearly pro-abortion. So a portion of the population who thought it was okay to be considered pro-choice decided that they didn't want to be lumped in with Obama's policy decisions.

Interesting how the best progress is made during the reigns of pro-choice/abortion presidents...

The overall trend is quite heartening... 80 more million Americans now consider themselves pro-life than 15 years ago. Granted, some of that is people who are de facto pro-abortion but want to be considered good and caring, since "pro-life" is the obvious rhetorical high ground. "Pro-choice" is going out of vogue, I wouldn't be surprised if the abortion lobby comes up with a new term soon (much like liberals now call themselves progressives).

You might be right. It's just hard for me to imagine that much of the public being so in tune with Obama's policies just yet, such that it could have a real impact. But trying to aid other countries in abortion is obviously pro-abortion rather than pro-choice and more extreme on the scale of evil. I mean a person could argue that women have the right to choose from a human rights perspective or whatever (of course, that would be bogus), but when you are wanting to deliberately facilitate abortions in third world nations, then it is obviously eugenics - or if you want a more politically correct term, population control. You would think that even people who consider themselves liberals would have the sense to know that our president isn't doing this out of compassion.

I listened to a discussion of this trend and while no one seems to have a good reason for the spike, the general pro-life trend is likely due in large part to the technological advances in ultrasounds and a better education of the public on reproductive science.
